Category C (Rigid) Training
To obtain an LGV Cat C (Class 2) licence, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full car licence.
The next stage is to obtain a provisional LGV licence. To do this, a medical will need to be undertaken and the completed forms sent to the DVLA. See our Starter Package page for more details. Click here.
Our most common CAT C course runs over 4 days. The reversing test will normally take place on day 2 or 3 and the driving test on day 4.
The vehicles we use for CAT C training are Volvo’s and DAF’s
Your driving test will take place from our own Test Centre. Since 2012 we have been a Customer Site for Lorry & Bus tests. This means that the examiner comes to our training centre to start your driving test.
The reversing test will be carried out by one of our own reverse assessors.
