Category C1 Training (7½ tonne) Training
In order to obtain an LGV Cat C1 driving licence, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full car driving licence.
The next stage is to obtain a provisional LGV licence. To do this, an LGV medical test will need to be undertaken and the completed forms sent to the DVLA.
Your theory tests can also be booked. Everyone will need a Multi Choice theory test and a Hazard Perception test. You may also need a CPC Case study. See our CPC page for more details.
Once again, we can take the hassle out of your C1 Driving Test, we take care of booking your Theory and Hazard Perception Tests, as we have tests pre-booked so one can be allocated to you at a convenient time and place.
Full details of our starter package can be found on our Starter Package page.
After successfully completing the theory test, you can then book your driving course in preparation of your practical test. The training for your C1 licence will then be tailored to suit your own needs. We operate 7 days a week and have practical tests pre-booked so training can be arranged around the driving test. Category C1 Licence training can be undertaken in our Vanbulance, pictured above.
Your test will take place at our own Testing Centre. Since 2012 we have been a Customer Site for Lorry & Bus tests. This means that the examiner comes to our training centre to start your driving tests so you’ll be in familiar surroundings and take your test on the same area that you practise!
The L&T Transport ‘Wall of Success’.
When you pass your test, we’ll take your photo and add you to our ever expanding ‘Wall of Success’.
