Our training courses can help you achieve this goal, whether you’re a first-time driver or looking to upgrade your licence. With our practical training assessments and comprehensive training, you’ll be on your way to becoming a safe and confident driver in no time.

Obtaining Your Category D & D1 Driving Licence:

To obtain your Category D or D1 driving licence, you need to be at least 18 years old and hold a full car licence. The next step is to obtain a provisional PCV licence by completing a medical and sending the forms to the DVLA in Swansea. Once you have your provisional licence, we can arrange a driving assessment to determine the right PCV training course for you.

Theory Tests for Category D & D1 Training:

Before you can take your practical driving course, you’ll need to pass a multi-choice PCV theory test and a hazard perception test. If necessary, you may also need to pass a CPC case study test. We can help you book your theory and hazard perception tests, as we have tests pre-booked and can allocate one to you at a convenient time and place.

Practical Driving Course:

After successfully completing your theory test and driving assessment, you can book your minibus training course with us. Our training is tailored to suit your individual needs, and we operate 7 days a week to accommodate your schedule. We also have your practical test pre-booked, so training can be arranged around the driving test. Our Category D training is undertaken in our OPTARE SOLO with an automatic gearbox, while Category D1 training is carried out using our Ford Transit 17 seat mini-bus.

Take Your Test at Our Test Centre:

At our own test centre, we have been a customer site for lorry and bus tests since 2012. This means that the examiner comes to our training centre to start your driving test, so you’ll be in familiar surroundings and take your test on the same area that you practice. When you pass your test, we’ll take your photo and add you to our ever-expanding ‘WALL’, and you’ll also receive one of our much sought-after ‘goodie bags.
