HIAB Training Lorry Loader & Slinger Signaller Course
L&T Transport Training Services carries out Lorry Loader (HIAB) and Slinger Signaller training on behalf of ALLMI. There are a number of different attachments available but most commonly we offer either Brick Grab or Hook. The initial course covers 1 attachment. Further attachments can be added if required but require further training and testing.
HIAB LORRY LOADER TRAINING. What’s Involved in the course?
The ALLMI Operator course consists of 15 modules and is either one or two days in duration dependent on whether you are a first time or experienced Lorry Loader Operator.
Both lorry loader and slinger signaller training courses are concluded by the completion of a written and a practical assessment. These assessments are conducted to ALLMI standards and invigilated by our registered ALLMI Approved instructor.
You’ll receive an Operator Handbook to accompany the course and to use as a reference guide for future. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a temporary certificate from your instructor which is found in the back of your handbook.
An operator card and certificate will be issued by ALLMI to us for the instructor to sign before we forward to you. You will also be entered in to the ALLMI Lorry Loader Operator database. Certification is valid for five years, after which time, refresher training and re-assessment will be required.
What is a HIAB?
HIAB is a brand name which is very commonly used within the industry to describe a Lorry Loader. There are many other manufacturers that provide lifting equipment fitted to lorries.
