Important: Government announcement regarding action to tackle the driver shortage

Since the news on Friday 10th September that the Government is taking action to tackle the HGV driver shortage.

We await further confirmation of when these changes will take place.

When the changes to the HGV Licensing take place, the process to begin with will not change. You can get started now with our starter package.

The change to the towing licence (B+E) take place on 20th September 2021. From this date, you will not be able to take a test to add this category. All the details can be found in the following link.

The new rules allow car drivers to tow a trailer, but we urge you to check in order to stay legal.

Regarding the overhaul of the HGV testing process, this does not yet have a set date and as yet there has been no indication of the date. So please bear with us.

Please remember, the reverse and coupling exercise will still be part of the test but will be carried out separately by a third party.
