Course Overview

• The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) is suitable when employers have identified a requirement for Emergency First Aiders or an Appointed Person in their First Aid Needs Assessment. It is also a popular option for anyone requiring basic first aid training outside of the workplace.
• One day course focuses on how to prevent emergency first aid situations from becoming worse, equipping learners with the basic life-saving skills needed to deal with emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Expert trainers draw on their own first aid experiences to make learning fun and memorable. This ensures that learners with the confidence and vital life-saving skills need to deal with the wide range of situations that could arise in the workplace.
• What’s more, as first aiders will receive a regulated qualification, employers can book this course and rest assured that they are providing quality first aid training without having to undertake any ongoing due diligence checks.

Assessment and Requalification

• Continuous assessment throughout the duration of the course, with successful candidates receiving a Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. This is valid for 3 years and can be renewed by attending another Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work course.

Refresher Training

HSE guidelines now state that employers “should ensure” that all qualified first aiders “remain competent to perform their role”. In order for employers to meet this requirement, it is recommended that first aiders attend annual refresher training.
