Lorry Loader (HIAB)
L&T Transport Training Services provide ALLMI accredited Lorry Loader Training Courses.
The ALLMI Operator course consists of 15 modules and is a minimum of one or two days duration. This depends on whether candidates are first time operators or experienced Lorry loader operators.
Both lorry loader training courses are concluded by the completion of a written examination and a practical assessment. The practical assessment is conducted to ALLMI standards and invigilated by our registered instructor.
From 10th September 2009, the Driver CPC comes into force for drivers of Large Goods Vehicles. This legislation requires existing drivers to complete 35 hours periodic training during a 5 year period. When completing a Lorry Loader training course at L&T Transport, you are able to claim up to 14 hours towards your 35 hour requirement.
The testing process (if taken) consists of two theory tests and one practical assessment. The practical element is designed to identify whether the candidate has the ability to operate a lorry loader safely and efficiently. All candidates attending a lorry loader course receive an Operators Handbook as a reference guide for future use.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a temporary certificate from our instructor. An identity card and certificate will be issued directly from ALLMI and each candidate will be entered onto the ALLMI Lorry Loader Operator database. Certification is valid for five years, after which time, refresher training and re-assessment will be required.
