L & T Transport Training Services

Getting Started

This website is designed to help you find out how to learn to drive any type of LGV or PCV vehicle. Whether you are an experienced driver looking to move up to a higher qualification or an aspiring new driver, then L&T Training can help you.

Any candidate wishing to drive a Large Goods Vehicle or Passenger Carrying Vehicle must first obtain a provisional licence from the DVLA.

In order to obtain this a medical report must be completed by a doctor and the relevant forms completed by the candidate. These forms, along with your ordinary car driver’s licence and photographic identity, will need to be sent to the DVLA with the relevant fee.

This process can be fully completed at our training centre in a single visit as part of our starter package.

Once you have received your provisional licence, a theory test can be booked at your local DSA theory test centre and your driving assessment can be carried out.

At L&T, training is carried out by our own dedicated and professional team of instructors and assessors, backed up by office staff who all have the same objective; to get you on the road to higher qualification or a new career!
