Category C (Rigid) Training
In order to obtain an LGV Cat C (Class 2) licence, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full car licence.
The next stage is to obtain a provisional LGV licence. To do this, a medical will need to be undertaken and the completed forms sent to the DVLA at Swansea.
Once you receive the provisional licence back from the DVLA, a driving assessment in the vehicle you want to drive can be arranged in order to assess the amount of training you need.Your theory tests can also be booked.
Everyone will need a Multi Choice theory test and a Hazard Perception test. You may also need a CPC Case Study. See our CPC page for more details.
Hassle Free Booking
Once again, we can take the hassle out of booking your Theory and Hazard Perception Tests, as we have tests pre-booked so one can be allocated to you at a convenient time and place.
Full details of our starter package can be found on our Starter Package page.
After successfully completing the theory test, and driving assessment, you can then book your driving course and the training will then be tailored to suit your own needs. We operate 7 days a week and have practical tests pre-booked so training can be arranged around the driving test. Category C training can be undertaken in one of our Volvo’s or Mercedes Axor. (as pictured).
Your test will take place at our own Test Centre. Since 2012 we have been a Customer Site for Lorry & Bus tests. This means that the examiner comes to our training centre to start your driving tests so you’ll be in familiar surroundings – and take your test on the same area that you practise!
The L&T Transport ‘Wall of Success’
When you pass your test, we’ll take your photo and add you to our ever expanding ‘Wall of Success’ (pictured left). You’ll also get one of our much sought after ‘goodie bags’.
