ADR Training - Carrying Hazardous Goods
In order to transport dangerous good by road, you’ll need to hold an ADR Driver Training Certificate. To obtain an ADR Training Certificate, you’ll need to attend a training course and pass the relevant exams.
Here at L&T, we run courses every month. The length of the course depends on the elements you want to do. The most common course covers dangerous goods in packages and covers the classes listed below. This course would last 4 days with exams on the morning of the 4th day. If you wanted to add the entitlement to carry dangerous goods in tankers, the course would continue for a further day.
L&T are one of only a small number of training providers in the UK to conduct ADR exams on-line. The main benefit of on-line exams is that you’ll get your results after completing all of your exams so no nervous 3 week wait for results.
The course has 3 main objectives:
1. To give you some information on the dangers you may be faced with when transporting dangerous goods
2. To give you information on minimizing the likelihood of an incident taking place
3. The steps to take if something does go wrong to keep you, the public and the environment as safe as possible.
All training is delivered in a relaxed and friendly style by our own trainer, Malcolm Lloyd. You will receive a pack containing all required information and regular revision quizzes to ensure you are properly prepared for the multiple choice exams at the end of your course.
